About a 45 minute drive north of Chiang Mai is where we will start our cycling adventure, to see the beautiful Mae Ngat Valley. We start by visiting the amazing Ban Den Temple located at the entrance of the valley. This trip is not a temple tour but Ban Den Temple is hard to miss and makes a great starting point for our ride. We now head into the valley through open rice fields passing local farmers tending to their crops, experiencing traditional farming. A short break, we stop at a local produce market to sample some fruit. We continue riding through the rural villages to the south of the valley. We are now energized for the kayaking leg of our adventure. With help of the favorable current of the Mae Ping River, we are now steering our kayaks into the Mae Taeng Jungle Reserve. Only accessible by boat nature lovers find their peace here in this serene and quiet setting, with a plethora of birdlife. We reach the far south end of the Mae Ngat Valley, where we are usually greeted by a kayaking monk. A cozy restaurant in a plantation setting awaits us with a well-deserved meal and a cold drink. We continue trekking, before enjoying a picnic lunch at the waterfall. Following lunch we drive to a small rafting camp where bamboo rafts await us. The rafting experience ranges from relaxing to exciting on the Wang Rive, with some time for some fun in the water. We return to Chiang Mai where dinner will be taken in a nearby restaurant. This morning after breakfast, . The group then transfers to take a Muay Thai Lesson for 1:30 hours. Arrive at Chiang Mai Thai Boxing Gym where the group will meet a professional coach and watch a “Wai Khru” or “Ram Muay” performance, followed by Muay Thai fighting. Students will then learn the technique when they take part in the lessons. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant and at 1pm we transfer to the mountain biking shop for preparations then we take a bus transfer to the top of Doi Suthep mountain where we are greeted with incredible views over Chiang Mai city and we explore one of northern Thailand's most sacred temples. At the starting point for our bike ride we make final preparations on the bikes. Beginners enjoy a thorough safety briefing and a test ride confirms ride and equipment are ready. The first part of the trip to the coffee plantation helps us to evaluate your riding ability. We continue training you in downhill riding techniques. The jeep track leads through large tree growth and the cooler temperature becomes very pleasant with the wind blowing in our faces. We take in the forest sounds and our full concentration sharpens our senses. At times the steep downhill terrain keeps us on our toes. At the first resting point at the Coffee Plantation, home of the Arabic Coffee, we enjoy the beautiful views of Chiang Mai and the Plantations below. The Hmong People here tend to their hillside farmland granted by the National Park. With plenty of viewpoints and puddles to challenge we ride towards Lake Huay Tueng Tao at the base of Doi Pui Mountain. At the lake we stop for a break with a snack and cold drink and the local ‘in-season’ fruit. From this rest point we can glance at the mountain that just gave us a 4000-foot elevation drop, before we return to Chiang Mai by vehicle. We return to the hotel, and freshen up for dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Charme Hotel, Chiang Mai

See how they became a proud herd and free from abuse for the first time in their lives. We enjoy a vegetarian buffet lunch of Asian and International dishes. The group walks with staff and the elephants (no riding) to the river that skirts the park. You can watch the elephants bathe and play, while you stay dry on the riverbank. Early in the afternoon it's time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before the hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai.
