A home-hosted lunch will be served at two different local houses in the same village. 8.30: The tour guide meets you in the hotel lobby. After a quick briefing and a 10-minute transfer to Cam Kim bridge (just South of the ancient town) we start the cycling adventure crossing the bridge and riding the small pathways on Cam Kim Island. The ride is about 8 kilometers passing by rice fields and a beautiful stretch of rural life. 11.00: Reach Duy Vinh village, a quaint hamlet where locals preserve the ancestral techniques of mat weaving. This is a great chance to learn some of their techniques as well as gain insight into this traditional way of life. 12.00: Lunch is served at a local home. 13.00: After lunch, we take a short walk to the pier and hop on a boat to cruise to our kayak station. 14.00: We get a briefing on the paddle and steering techniques before we start our meaningful kayaking adventure. We will paddle across the Nipa Palm mangrove of Cam Thanh, a very precious ecosystem that suffers from urbanization and pollution. We will all be equipped to participate in cleaning up the river of plastic debris brought with the tides. Plastic pollution is in an enormous global environmental challenge and is particularly acute in developing countries where there is a lack of infrastructure to adequately deal with plastic. This is a great way to do our bit, working together and also great way to combine lots of fun with a nature preservation activity. 16.30: We complete our day and transfer back to the hotel by bus. 17.00: Time to freshen up before dinner.
