Experience Cape Town, arguably one of the world's most spectacular cities on this well balanced itinerary. You wilt spend time with a local school sharing musical and sporting experiences as well as helping out on a community project. When not with the school you will be taking in the historic and iconic sites of Robben Island, Seal Island and Table Top Mountain. There is also free time factored in to relax and enjoy the bustling Waterfront, or simply relax on the beach.
Although there is no commitment to extended walking or cycling on this journey we nonetheless want to keep the ‘accent on the active’. We therefore advise that any physical training you complete before undertaking the trip will be to good effect.
Upon arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met by a representative World Youth Adventures and transferred to your group hotel where you will spend the next 10 nights. Depending on the time you arrive the rest of the day is free to relax. This evening you will meet your guides and discuss the trip before dinner.
Today you will meet your guides and drivers for a day of exploring cape Peninsula and Seal island. You will drive to Signal Hill for a bird's eye view of the Atlantic Seaboard. From here you will descend into Camps Bay alongside the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range before reaching the historic Hout Bay Harbour. From here you enjoy a guided hike to the old lighthouse at Cape Point which stands head and shoulders above everything else. You may be lucky enough to spot zebra, eland, baboons and ostriches, a few of the species in the protected reserve. You will return to the vehicles and drive to the harbour where you will take a boat to Seal island to watch these magnificent creatures in the water.
